Need a jumper cable! - Follow the following procedure
- Jumper car and Jumpee car shouldn't touch each other metal to metal
Turn off the ignition, and any other electric equipment in both cars. Be careful about battery fluid (caustic-flush with lots of water when contacted) and gas (flammable & explosive) - don't smoke. 1. Connect a red clamp to (+) terminal of the weak battery (A) 2. Connect the cable's other end red clamp to the (+) terminal of a strong battery (helper car's) (B) *** Don't ever let the jumper cable clamp touch the car body, each other, or the other battery terminals. 3. Connect a clamp of the black (-) jumper cable to the (-) terminal (C) of the strong battery. Connect the other black clamp to a clean metal part on the engine side in the car with the weak battery (D), the alternator bracket or an engine bolt is good for this - we call this ground connection. Don't connect to the (-) terminal of the weak battery - There are dangers of possible explosion. 4. Start the engine of the helper car and rev the engine a little. 5. After a short while, start the other car. If it doesn't start, turn off the ignition of both engines and check the cable connection, and try again. If the engine start, wait for a while to make sure it doesn't stall 6. Disconnect the cables in the order of (1) (-) cable from the ground connection (2)(-) cable from the (-) terminal of the helper car (3) (+) cable from the terminal of helper car (4) (+) cable from the (+) terminal of the other car.
